Embark on a Spiritually Enriching Srilanka Ramayana tour Following the Epic Footsteps of Lord Rama and Sita.
Day 1: Arrival in Colombo – Transfer to Negombo
Meet & greet at Bandaranaike International Airport by our local representative.
Private transfer to the beach town of Negombo (approx. 30 mins).
Check in to your hotel and relax after your flight. Spend the evening enjoying the beach sunset or exploring Dutch-era canals and the Negombo fish market.
Day 2: Negombo – Chilaw – Kandy
After breakfast, proceed to Munneswaram Temple, Chilaw – where Lord Rama prayed to Shiva for a blessing.
Visit Manavari Temple, the first lingam installed by Rama to atone for Brahmahati Dosham.
En route to Kandy, stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to witness elephants bathing and feeding.
Reach Kandy by evening, take a stroll around the serene Kandy Lake and browse through the vibrant local markets.
Day 3: Kandy – Ramboda – Nuwara Eliya
Early morning, visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda where Hanuman is revered.
Enjoy the scenic drive through tea-carpeted hills, with a stop at Ramboda Falls for photo opportunities.
Pay respects at Gayathri Peedam, a spiritual center for devotees.
Continue to Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England,” with colonial architecture and a cool climate.
Evening sightseeing: Victoria Park, local markets, and tea boutiques.
Day 4: Nuwara Eliya – Seetha Eliya – Hakgala
After breakfast, visit Seetha Amman Temple, dedicated to Goddess Sita, said to be the place where she was held captive by Ravana.
Explore Hakgala Botanical Garden, linked to Ashok Vatika in the epic Ramayana.
Afternoon: enjoy tea estate tours, tea-tasting sessions, and a boat ride at Gregory Lake.
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5: Nuwara Eliya – Divurumpola – Bandarawela – Ella
Visit Divurumpola Temple, believed to be the site of Sita’s Agni Pariksha.
Proceed to Bandarawela and enjoy picturesque landscapes en route.
Stop at Ravana Ella Falls and explore Ravana Cave, connected to the legend of Ravana.
Reach the tranquil village of Ella by evening; relax in cozy cafés or enjoy panoramic mountain views.
Day 6: Ella – Kataragama
Optional: Experience the famous scenic train ride from Ella to Wellawaya, then continue by road.
Visit Kataragama Temple, a multi-religious pilgrimage site revered by Hindus, Buddhists, and Muslims alike.
Evening free to attend the temple puja ceremony.
Day 7: Kataragama – Galle – Colombo
After breakfast, drive along the scenic southern coastal route.
Stop at the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort to explore its Dutch architecture, cobbled streets, and quaint cafés.
Continue to Bentota for a short beach stop or optional watersports.
Reach Colombo by evening and enjoy a short city tour covering Independence Square, Galle Face Green, and shopping arcades.
Day 8: Departure from Colombo
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward flight.
